Vilmos Csikos
Violinist Vilmos Csikos obtained his Master's degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. A laureate of numerous international violin competitions, in 2007 he won First Prize at both the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition and the Remember Enescu International Violin Competition, and was awarded First Grand Prize at the 2017 Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists and the 2020 Henry Vieuxtemps International Violin Competition respectively. He is also a laureate of the 2013 International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists (Weimar, Germany).
In 2018 he was invited onto the jury for the fourth edition of the Young Belgian Talent competition in Brussels, and since 2019 has served as a jury member for the Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists.
He is regularly invited to perform at international music festivals in Europe and Asia. As a concert soloist he has appeared with the Aria chamber orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and the Brussels Sinfonietta, among others, with renowned conductors such as Etienne Rappe, Dmitry Filatov, Nicolás Pasquet, Hans Casteleyn and Krzysztof Penderecki.
